課程目標
1.延續建築設計(七)之內容，並深化關於各種建築議題的設計訓練。 2.強化學生進行議題性研究的能力。 3.著重空間設計與邏輯推理的整合性訓練。4.熟悉各種進階的設計工具。

課程概述
建築設計(八)之教學重點主要在於透過議題式的學習分組，讓學生能在中低年級的基礎之上更深入地學習建築設計，並強化學生獨立思考與邏輯推理的能力。
授課內容
主要課程為建築及都市設計培養獨立思考與操作能力，自行選定目標、課題與基地之訓練，模擬業主(指導老師)並循續進行作業、同學應撰寫規劃報告書、設計報告書（基礎論文寫作訓練），整合都市工程學、建築經營管理、營建法規、都市及區域計劃、構造與材料，目的在培養學生建築與都市設計的統合能力及表現方式。The main purpose of this design course is to teach students to have independent thinking and operational abilities. This course will help students to define goals, issues and site selection. Simulation of the client (teacher) and the writing of the planning and design report are required, along with various course requirements such as urban engineering, architectural management, architecture codes, urban and regional planning, construction and material. The purpose is to let students have the ability to integrate both architectural and urban design and to help them to present their findings in various presentation methods.
