課程目標
本課程之教學目標有三：
（一）讓學生藉由授課瞭解都市計畫觀念。
Help students to learn the concept of urban planning.
（二）讓學生藉由討論都市計畫過程中，瞭解都市計畫之法令面與操作面之實踐。
Help students to learn the regulations of urban planning and how to operate it.
（三）藉由問答的方法講解及實例說明，讓學生學習如何運用都市計畫應用。

課程概述
『建築因都市而生，都市因建築而長，建築與都市發展，順天地應時合和，人事物共生淨土』。都市計畫為整體都市空間發展之基本計畫，因此都市計畫必須配合都市發展與規劃思潮來討論，進而促進都市計畫之規劃與公共決策推動。本課程主要在教導學生瞭解都市計畫之概念、觀念與理論基礎，並使學生對都市計畫之相關法令，亦配合說明討論，以增加學生應用的能力。本課程教學過程中除提出都市計畫之基本概念外，更從學習過程經討論中進行，以增加學生對都市計畫操作方法與實踐能力。進而探討都市計畫相關法令，接著討論都市計畫之操作方法，最後進行問題討論與實例說明。
"Architecture rises for city, and city expand due to architectural growth. Architecture and urban development should adopt environment and climate, coexist with our life in order to achieve a harmonious and symbiotic land". The basic plan of urban spatial development in urban planning is as a whole; urban plans must meet to discuss the trend of urban development and planning, thus promoting the planning of urban and public policy. This course mainly teaches students to understand the concepts, ideas and theories of urban planning based on the Urban Planning Act and enables students to also tie in the ideas outlined in the Act in order to increase students' ability to apply them. In addition to the course, basic concepts of urban planning are discussed to increase the students 'methods and practice of urban planning operations.
授課內容
都市計畫的教學目標在於建立學生對都市緣起與都市發展歷程的理解，掌握都市計畫的基本內容、程序與法規制度，並具備以地區尺度進行現況分析、問題診斷、目標設定與初步策略構想的能力。同時，引導學生理解都市設計的核心價值，包括人本尺度、步行環境、公共空間與都市景觀，能在解讀都市計畫圖與法規的同時，連結日常空間使用與地方情境。
授課方式
教學方法結合理論講授、圖面操作、實地踏查與討論反思。課程前段以講授與案例分析方式介紹都市緣起、都市發展史、都市計畫基本內容與法規制度，配合臺北與陽明山的歷史與計畫圖說明理論如何落在具體個案；中段安排都市計畫圖讀圖練習與陽明山實地走讀，要求學生對照計畫圖與現況，記錄差異與問題；後段則透過工作坊方式，引導學生完成地區分析圖、問題與潛力圖、目標與策略條列與簡易策略示意圖，並以都市設計核心價值檢視其合理性。第二年在相同架構下，加入前一屆問題圖、策略草稿與居民回饋，作為批判與修正的起點。
