課程概述
魏晉南北朝時期，在文學與思想方面，都具有特殊的呈現。文學方面，駢體文盛行，文學批評理論發達，《文心雕龍》、《昭明文選》可為代表。思想方面，清談玄學流衍，佛教「格義」之學興起，建構了學術思想史的一個高峰。《世說新語》可說是此一時期最重要的史料與紀錄，對於研究魏晉文學、思想都有極高的價值。《世說新語》是南朝宋臨川王劉義慶與門客合編，凡三卷，分為三十六門，紀錄東漢末年至東晉末年約二百年間之名士言行軼事一千一百三十餘則，每一門類皆是表現魏晉士人品質或生活的一個方面。各門綜合而觀，便可勾勒出魏晉一代士人的精神風貌。是故研讀本書，有助於理解中國思想史，文化史，乃至社會史。至於言語雋永，情趣佳妙，則是本書另一大長處。本課程將從人物品鑑、玄言清談、宗教融合三個主要方面，選讀《世說新語》的重要篇章，引導學生深入了解本書。
During the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, there were special presentations in literature and thought. In terms of literature, parallel style is prevalent, and literary criticism theory is developed, such as "Wen Xin Diao Long" and "Zhao Ming Wen Xuan" as representatives. In terms of thought, the popularization of metaphysics and the rise of the study of Buddhist "Geyi" constitute a peak in the history of academic thought. Shishuoxinyu can be said to be the most important historical material and record of this period, and it is of great value for the study of Wei and Jin literature and thought. "Shi Shuo Xin Yu" was co-edited by Liu Yiqing, King of Linchuan in the Southern Song Dynasty, and Menke. It consists of three volumes and is divided into thirty-six chapters. It records more than 1,130 anecdotes about the words and deeds of famous scholars from the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty to the end of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Therefore, each category is an aspect of the quality or life of Wei and Jin scholars. The comprehensive view of each door can outline the spiritual outlook of the scholars of the Wei and Jin Dynasties. Therefore, studying this book will help to understand the history of Chinese thought, culture, and even social history. As for the language is meaningful and interesting, it is another major strength of this book. This course will select and read important chapters of "Shi Shuo Xin Yu" from three main aspects: personal appraisal, mystical talk, and religious integration, so as to guide students to understand the book in depth.

During the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, there were special presentations in terms of literature and thought. In terms of thought, the development of metaphysics in Qing Dynasty and the rise of the study of "geyi" in Buddhism constituted a peak in the history of academic thought. "Shi Shuo Xin Yu" can be said to be the most important historical material and record of this period, and it is of great value for the study of Wei and Jin literature and thought. It records more than 1,130 anecdotes about the words and deeds of celebrities from the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty to the end of the Eastern Jin Dynasty for about 200 years. Therefore, each category is an aspect of the quality or life of Wei and Jin scholars. A comprehensive view of each discipline can outline the spiritual outlook of the generation of scholars in the Wei and Jin Dynasties. Therefore, reading this book will help to understand the history of Chinese thought, culture, and even society. As for the meaningful words and wonderful taste, this is another great advantage of this book. This course will select important chapters of "Shi Shuo Xin Yu" from the three main aspects of character appraisal, metaphysical talk, and religious integration, and guide students to understand the book in depth.
