一、指導學生瞭解漢語的歷史及其發展的規律，以確立國語讀音的標準。
二、訓練學生具準確分析聲、韻、調的能力，以有效地欣賞及研究文學聲律之美，並有助於創作。
三、培養學生深厚的聲韻學根柢，掌握古音、古義，研讀經籍，全面瞭解中華文化並發揚光大。

課程概述
聲韻學是研究中國文字聲音之學問，與文字學、訓詁學合稱為語言文字學。本課程主要在探討中國聲韻之特性及歷史，使能利用已有之材料研究上古音，考定古典經籍，並瞭解從上古到現代中國聲韻演變之概況，以確立正確之國語音讀。課程內容主要包括：研究聲韻學之材料與方法、歷代字音之分期、《廣韻》之聲類系統及韻類系統、等韻圖、古音學、審音知識及歷代重要韻書介紹等。
Chinese Phonology
This course aims to teach the characteristics and history of Chinese
Phonology by studying ancient Chinese tones and examining ancient
literature, in order to understand the transition of Chinese Phonology
from ancient to contemporary time. It includes 廣韻, the tone system
of Chinese characters（聲類系統）, the rhyme system of Chinese
characters（韻類系統）, the picture of rhyme（等韻圖）, the study
of ancient tones（古音學）, knowledge of phonology（審音知識）,
and an introduction to rhyme books（韻書介紹）.
授課內容
一．認識什麼是聲韻學，聲韻學的內容及功用。
二．認識什麼是國音，國音的聲母、韻母、聲調。
三．認識近代漢語，來源，研究材料及語音系統。
四．認識中古音，來源，研究材料及語音系統。
五．熟悉廣韻，及其聲韻系統，瞭解廣韻的成書。
六．認識等韻的起源、編纂、功能，及使用方法。
七．認識上古音，來源，研究材料及語音系統。
1. Know what is phonology, phonology content and function.
2. What is a sound understanding of the country, the country consonant sounds, vowels and tones.
3. Understanding of modern Chinese, sources, research material and voice systems.
4. Sound understanding of medieval sources, research material and voice systems.
5. Familiar Rhyme, and phonological system, understand Rhyme into a book.
6. Understanding the origin, etc., compilation, function, and use rhyme.
7. Archaic understanding, sources, research material and voice systems.
