課程目標
1. 使修習者了解英美侵權行為法的基本觀念、一般侵權行為、特殊侵權行為與損害賠償。
2. 介紹美國英美侵權行為法整編第三部之內容。
3. 使修習者明白貫穿英美侵權行為法並對比大陸法系侵權行為法的基本理論、法則、訴因之類型等。
4. 期能理論與實務並重。

課程概述
介紹英美侵權行為法之內容及其新進發展，以比較法之觀點探討我國現行法與英美侵權行為法之差異，期能理論與實務並重。本科目首先總論英美侵權行為法之內容並探討美國侵權行為法之新進發展(含美國英美侵權行為法整編第三部之內容)，再依序介紹基本理論、一般侵權行為、特殊侵權行為與損害賠償之檢討，並以比較法之方法探比我國民法中侵權行為法之內容。
This course of Anglo-American Law of Torts will introduce the scope and development of Anglo-American tort law. Adopting the methodology of comparative law, we will explore the contents of Anglo-American tort law, including but not limited to of the American Restatement (Third) coupled with comparisons by and between our prevailing civil law and Anglo-American common law on torts. A survey on basic theories, rule of law, torts in general, specific forms of torts as to intentional harming, negligent harming, vicarious liability, strict liability, no-fault compensation, products liability as well as in-depth discussions over various types of defenses and damages issues will also be given in class.

ANGLO-AMERICAN LAW OF TORTS
Introduction: This course of Anglo-American Law of Torts will introduce the scope and development of Anglo-American tort law. Adopting the methodology of comparative law, we will explore the contents of Anglo-American tort law, inclusive of the American Restatement (Third) coupled with comparison between our prevailing civil law and Anglo-American common law on torts. An overview on basic theories, torts in general, specific forms of torts as well as discussions over damages issues will be given.
