教學目標內涵
本課程之主要目標在於讓學生了解台灣豐富的森林資源，包括主副產物，在永續發展中的重要角色，並學習自然資源永續利用的概念與重要性建立現代自然資源利用發展的素養。

課程概述
依據「國有林產物處分規則」，森林主產物是指「竹材與木材」副產物則指「樹皮、樹脂、種實、落枝、樹葉、灌藤、竹筍、草類、菌類及其他主產物以外之林產物」，兩者 皆具有重要的經濟價值。台灣的森林擁有豐富的資源，可惜因為過去缺乏永續利用的觀念，導致現在我們的森林經濟式微。本課程將由介紹台灣的森林資源開始，配合現地訪查，以瞭解這些資源，並藉由動手操作，讓同學體驗自然資源的永續利用方法，建立永續利用的現代公民素養。
According to the "Code of Application of National Forest Products", forest main products mean “wood material from bamboos or trees”, and forest by-products include "barks, resins, fruits, seeds, shoots, leaves, vines, bamboo shoots, herbs, shrubs, fungi and those excluded from main products". Both have important economic values. Taiwan's forests are rich in resources. Unfortunately, due to the lack of sustainable use in the past, our forest economy is now in decline. This course will start with an introduction to Taiwan's forest resources, cooperate with on-site visits to understand these resources, and let students experience the sustainable use of natural resources through hands-on operation, so as to establish a modern civic literacy for sustainable use.
授課內容
在經濟上，森林除了供給人類木材外，還有許多非木材類的產物，這些產物即通稱為森林副產物。而在目前重視保育的年代，利用森林副產物因為對森林的影響較小，更是未來森林應用的主角。透過本課程，擬使學生了解森林副產物的種類、價值與應用。
依據「國有林產物處分規則」，森林副產物則指「樹皮、樹脂、種實、落枝、樹葉、灌藤、竹筍、草類、菌類及其他主產物以外之林產物」。本課程將依照上述定義，將森林副產物進行歸類，並逐堂介紹。同時，也會選定部分主題，讓學生動手操作，期使同學對相關應用，能有更加深刻的體驗。
According to the "Code of Application of National Forest Products", forest by-products include "barks, resins, fruits, seeds, shoots, leaves, vines, bamboo shoots, herbs, shrubs, fungi and those excluded from main products". The knowledge of forest by-products will be categorized and introduced followed the definition above. And, students will have some exercises on some topics in order to let them experience the forest by-products deeply.
授課方式
本課程按森林副產物的屬性，分成不同主題，依次講授。每個主題將會選擇數篇相關論文報告，整合後做為上課內容，並編排成上課用PPT投影片。同時，也會選定部分主題，讓學生動手操作，期使同學對相關應用，能有更加深刻的體驗。
According to the attributes of forest by-products, this course is divided into different topics and taught sequentially. For each topic, several relevant paper reports will be selected, integrated as the class content, and compiled into PPT slides for class. At the same time, some topics will be selected for students to operate, hoping to enable students to have a more profound experience of related applications.
