課程概述
說明土地使用、交通運輸、公共設施等計畫內容，獲得具備都市計畫之基本概念，並運用於規劃設計課程。 Contemporary Urban Planning would interrelated with the social, political, economic, environmental, and technological conditions that affect cities.
授課內容
都市計劃在都市發展與人類活動過程中，扮演極為重要的角色，透過都市計畫與相關計畫的制定，能夠提高土地與其他有限資源的使用效率，並滿足人類食、衣、住、行、育、樂等需求，同時平衡城鄉與區域間的發展。本課程將從都市的形成與都市的定義開始談起，循序漸進地說明何謂規劃、規劃的目的、類型、理論與程序、近代都市規劃思潮、都市計畫與相關計畫之內容與規定、都市發展分析與預測方法、土地使用計畫、土地使用管制規則以及未來發展趨勢，由深入淺地教導同學們都市計畫的基本知識與概念。
Urban planning plays a vital role in urban development and human activities. Through the formulation of urban plans and related planning policies, it enhances the efficient use of land and other limited resources while addressing various human needs, including food, clothing, housing, transportation, education, and recreation. Urban planning also contributes to balancing development among urban, rural, and regional areas.
This course begins with an introduction to the origins and definitions of cities and gradually explores the fundamental concepts of planning, including its purposes, types, theories, and procedures. Additional topics include major schools of modern urban planning thought, the contents and regulations of urban plans and related planning systems, methods for urban development analysis and forecasting, land-use planning, land-use control regulations, and emerging trends in urban planning practice.
Through a systematic and progressive approach, this course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles, concepts, and applications of urban planning, thereby establishing a solid foundation for advanced studies and professional practice in planning-related fields.

1.本堂課以講課為主。
2.學生遲到與出缺席依學校規定辦理(20%)，缺席超過3次，明年再學一次
3.課堂參與(20%)，發問與討論加分
4.期中/末考試(60%)，期中考試與期末考試各佔30%
