課程目標

舉凡森林場域學的理論、保育、與應用都需要從『做中學』的實務實習來得到系統知識的映證、關鍵技術的熟練和創意生產的激盪。透過實務實習來加深學習的深度與廣度，以結合在學校所學，並得以實際應用。 The theory, conservation, and application of forest field science all require the practice of "learning by doing" to obtain the verification of systematic knowledge, the proficiency of key technologies, and the stimulation of creative production. To deepen the depth and breadth of learning through practical practice, so as to combine what you have learned in school and apply it in practice.

課程概述

『林場之實務實習』，將於暑假至本系林場進行實習，注意事項：包括行前準備、實習期間及成果分享。每日應撰寫「實習日誌」，於開學第一週繳交給課程TA。本課程舉辦「實習成果發表會」。最末繳交「實習成果報告書」給授課老師。 "Practical Internship in the Forest Farm" will be practiced in the forest farm of the department during the summer vacation. Points to note: include pre-departure preparation, internship period and achievement sharing. Write an "internship diary" every day and submit it to the course TA in the first week of school. This course holds a "Practice Achievement Presentation". Finally, submit the "Practice Achievement Report" to the instructor.

授課內容

授課內容涵蓋林業與自然保育、林產學、育林學、森林測計學、森林生物多樣性、森林經營學、植物相調查、野生動物調查等實習內容。實習操作內容包含林木碳削減實務量測與計算，華林林場植物辨識與分類方式實做，動物調查方法之穿越線系統，哺乳動物與鳥類觀察，夜間動物觀察與調查方式，華林林場紅檜林林木生物多樣性調查與研究，昆蟲採集方法，夜間昆蟲觀察與調查，種苗繁殖技術之扦插與嫁接，森林蓄積(材積)調查測計。
The course content covers topics such as forestry and nature conservation, forest products, silviculture, forest mensuration, forest biodiversity, forest management, plant taxonomy and survey, and wildlife survey. The practical internships include activities such as practical measurement and calculation of carbon reduction in forests, implementation of plant identification and classification methods in Hualin Forest Farm, traverse line system for animal surveys, mammal and bird observations, nocturnal animal observation and survey methods, red cypress forest biodiversity survey and research in Hualin Forest Farm, insect collection methods, nocturnal insect observation and survey, propagation techniques such as cutting and grafting for seedling reproduction, and forest accumulation (volume) survey and measurement.

授課方式

本課程於學期初時說明林場實習方式、日期與規則。
期末考後隔週至華林林場實習，預計共五天，全程需住宿且不得任意離開林場。
The internship arrangements, dates, and regulations for the forest fieldwork will be explained at the beginning of the semester. Following the final exams, there will be a one-week break, after which the internship at Hualin Forest Farm will take place. The internship is expected to last for a total of five days, and participants are required to stay overnight on-site and are not permitted to leave the forest farm premises without prior permission.
