課程目標

目的在使學生了解”建築”這門學問的範疇，建立建築相關專業知識的基本概念，進而培養其觀察及思考的基本能力。

課程概述

本課程旨在讓建築及都市設計系大一新生了解建築專業知識、系上課程及相關生涯規劃。授課內容包括建築系學生養成教育、建築相關法令及建築系相關科目、建築工程管理、專業倫理、營建管理以及建築系學生未來出路等。
教學目標：學生於修畢本課程後能
　1.了解建築與都市設計專業知識的相關性
　2.了解敷地計劃對環境設計的影響
　3.了解社會與環境行為在建築專業知識之應用
　4.了解建築物理環境與生態設計的相關性
　5.了解建築史與人類文明的發展
6.了解建築與都市設計相關法令體系
7.了解建築使用型式對空間環境的影響
　8.認識建築結構系統與建築構造
9.了解時程進度管理與預算與施工估價之重要性
10.認識建築與都市設計未來永續發展與應用

授課內容

本課程主要為建築系學生建立對於專業領域的基礎認識，透過形塑建築空間的基本元素、造型與空間、實虛、組織、比例與尺度、秩序原則、色彩、光線等構成元素的分析、解說，培養學生對於建築空間的敏感度與觀察力。並於案例的賞析當中，加入時間軸的推衍，讓學生能夠理解不同時代的社會環境、機能需求、技術發展等因素對於建築所產生的影響，深化其對於建築的多元思維能力。
This course is designed to help students of the Department of Architecture to gain a basic understanding of the professional field. Through the analysis and explanation of the basic elements that shape architectural space, which are form and space, solid and cavity, organization, proportion and scale, principles, color, light, etc., it aims to enhance students' sensitivity and observation ability to architectural space. In architectural case studies, time progress is also emphasized, so that students can understand the influence of social environment, functional requirements, and technological development in different eras on architecture, and develop their multi-dimensional thinking ability on architecture.

依循課程主題製作講義於課堂講授，並搭配與主題相關之多媒體教材，提供學生多元的知識吸收媒介。
Use handouts and multimedia resources related to the theme of the course as teaching materials to provide students with different ways to understand the topic.
