課程目標

主要在於了解地理學中的計量分析技術及其應用。目標有三:1.能運用簡單計量技術 2.能閱讀並理解出版文獻 3.供為進一步研究之基礎。

課程概述

本課程有系統地探討地理學中的計量分析方法,及其在自然/人文地理問題的應用,並透過演練使學生能熟練其操作過程。主要目的有三:1.能運用簡單計量技術 2.能閱讀並理解出版文獻 3.供為進一步研究之基礎。內容含:地理資料處理、空間分布之敘述/推理分析技術、空間關聯與趨勢分析技術、地理模式建構等。 This course is primarily designed to give a working understanding of the foundamental quantitative techniques in geography,either in physial or human geography.An attempt is made to explain with simple language some of the basic concepts and methods involved which are of special interest to the geographers.

授課內容

本課程有系統地探討地理學中的計量分析方法,及其在自然與人文地理問題的應用,並透過演練使學生能熟練其操作過程。主要目的有三: 1.瞭解地理數量分析方法 2.掌握簡單計量技術應用 3.具有解決實際問題能力。內容包含了地理資料蒐集與處理、地理屬性偵測與分群、空間特性探討與分析、空間資料建構與推估。
This course is primarily designed to give a working understanding of the fundamental quantitative techniques in geography, either in physical or human geography. It will also enable students to become proficient through exercises. There are three main purposes: 1. Understand the quantitative methods in geography 2. Master the application of quantitative geography techniques 3. Have the ability to solve practical problems. The content of this course including geographical data collection and processing, geographical attribute detection and clustering, spatial characteristics discussion and construction, spatial data analysis and estimation.
