課程目標
地理資訊系統是當今空間處理之利器也是未來空間資訊發展之重要趨勢。課程內容架構在地圖學座標投影及編繪概念上,介紹地理資訊系統之發展歷史,及特有的空間資料結構、檔案管理等。實作上則整合地理學上地形變遷、運輸便捷性、場址設置等相關議題,進行空間分析,進而制訂決策印證理論。同時邀請業界人士演講,使理論與應用互相結合。
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are the powerful tool for contemporary spatial data processing and represent a major trend in the future development of spatial information.
The course content is structured upon the concepts of cartographic coordinate systems, map projections, and mapping design. It introduces the history of GIS development and its unique components, such as spatial data structures and file management.
For practical application, the course integrates topics relevant to Geography, such as topographic change, transportation accessibility, and site suitability analysis, to conduct spatial analysis and ultimately formulate decisions to validate geographical theories. Furthermore, industry professionals will be invited to give lectures, ensuring a strong combination of theory and practical application.

在資訊時代,地理資訊系統的加入恰可讓空間資訊的表達更為完整。本課程除介紹地理資訊系統基本概念外,基本上以實作為主軸。透過至少三個議題練習定位、數化、分析及屬性建置的基礎技能。繼而結合各網路服務平台所提供的資料,更進一步學習各種座標、資料的轉換,讓學生的實作能力與市場需求更為貼近。 In the information age, geographic information systems play a key role to make spatial information more complete.
