中國古典戲劇自發源起經歷了多次轉型，各階段均累積了相當多的傑出劇作，也呈現了每個時期的藝術追求與文化面貌。劇本的閱讀可以讓學生以第一手資料深入當時劇作家的思維情境與文化氛圍，體認古典戲曲所傳達的不止是一種「藝術體系」，更是一種文化的傳承與價值觀的建立、以及文化美學的延續。課程將輔以影音資料，以照見古典的創作在今日的存續與再創作的意義。

課程概述

中國古典戲劇自發源起經歷了多次轉型，各階段均累積了相當多的傑出劇作，也呈現了每個時期的藝術追求與文化面貌。劇本的閱讀可以讓學生以第一手資料深入當時劇作家的思維情境與文化氛圍，體認古典戲曲所傳達的不止是一種「藝術體系」，更是一種文化的傳承與價值觀的建立、以及文化美學的延續。課程將輔以影音資料，以照見古典的創作在今日的存續與再創作的意義。 Since its origins, Chinese classical drama has undergone many transformations, accumulating quite a number of outstanding plays, and reflecting the art goal and cultural situation of each period as well. The script reading allows students to get first-hand information, dig deeply into the playwright's thinking and feel the cultural atmosphere at that time. This course will help student to recognize the classical opera is the way to convey more than just an "art system" it is also a rich cultural heritage. The course will be supplied with audiovisual materials to see the significance of the survival and creation of classical creations today.

授課內容

本課程透過文本的研讀，引領同學理解、認識中國古典戲劇的體製規律、音樂特性、語言風格、作家特質、劇本調性與演出結構等。並經由元代南戲、明清傳奇的劇本選讀，以戲曲史角度觀照，感受時代變異與創作演化的關係。課程將選介傳奇劇本改編或整編的戲曲相關影音資料，作為課堂閱讀的輔助。
Through the study of the text, this course leads students to understand and recognize the institutional laws, musical characteristics, language style, writer's characteristics, script tonality and performance structure of Chinese classical drama. And through the selection of scripts of Southern Opera in Yuan Dynasty and legends of Ming and Qing Dynasties, from the perspective of opera history, I feel the relationship between the variation of the times and the evolution of creation. The course will introduce audio-visual materials related to operas adapted or compiled from legendary scripts as a supplement to classroom reading.

授課方式

一、以講授為主，輔以投影資料。
二、同學須在規定課程內閱讀指定教材，分組進行口頭報告與討論。
三、課程期間或有相關傳統戲曲演出，同學必須參與欣賞。
1. Lecture-based, supplemented by projection materials.
2. Students must read the designated textbooks in the prescribed courses, and make oral reports and discussions in groups.
3. There may be related traditional opera performances during the course, and students must participate in the appreciation.
