課程概述

氣候與人類生活有重大的關係，人類在氣候方面，應該要瞭解什麼是氣候，影響氣候的因素，全球的氣候差異，及氣候變遷等。本課程將從基礎的氣象學入手，從大氣的能量、水氣、溫度，全球風系統、氣團、氣旋等氣象基本知識開始，首先分析影響氣候的要素，進而探討氣候分類、氣候帶分佈，最後更進一步說明人類活動與氣候的關係，到全球氣候變遷等課題。原則上課程主要在論述氣候形成的理論，但也會探討都市人類活動對氣候的影響，與及由於全球氣候異常變異所帶來的人類活動干擾。課程除放眼世界，就全球的一般情況作說明外，並就台灣的特殊氣候條件加以深入分析探討。
Climate is highly related to human activities. Mankind should be aware of the meaning of climate, factors affecting climate, global climate variations and climatic changes. This course begins with the fundamental of meteorology, and uses the basic principles of meteorology such as atmospheric energetic, moisture, wind systems, air mass and cyclonic movement to assess the influential factors of climate. Types of climate and their distribution will be discussed, followed by the relationship between human activities and climate, and finally the problems of global climatic changes. The main focus of this course is to study the basic formation principles of climate. However, it also explores the negative impact of urban human activities on climate and the influence of global extreme climate changes on human activities. Besides just looking at the globe on the whole, this course also includes in-depth analysis of the special local climatic conditions in Taiwan.
