課程目標

The course is intended to help students to adapt to international etiquette through the understanding of cross-cultural communication. Students will be able to 1. Enhance their understanding of interactions between people of different countries. 2. Learn well-known cross-cultural theory and how it is relevant to cross-cultural communication. 3. Gain more confident when associated with people of all walks of life. 4. Prepare work-shops or plan ceremonial activities. 5. Improve students’ social skills and avoid the disrespectful attitude in various situations. 6. Recognize the basic rules of international etiquette such as the aspects of table manners, dress code, travelling etiquette, the courtesy of personal behavior when interacting with superiors, friends, and strangers. 7. practice office communication and interview manner.

課程概述

People with the International Etiquette will be confident in dealing with matters related with foreigners or international business. Therefore, this course is designed to help students to obtain more knowledge related to international etiquette as well as cross-cultural communication. In order to avoid misunderstanding, students can apply Hofstede’s Cultural theory to the real-life communication. In addition, the opportunities of practical etiquette training will be provided in this course. Meanwhile, students will have the right perspective and attitude when they deal with people from different countries. This course will encourage students to get the certification for the international etiquette receptionist and further help them to prepare their future job. (修完本課程將鼓勵學生報考英文國際禮儀接待人員的證照,這將有助於學生未來的職涯發展及人際溝通)

授課內容
