課程目標
地理資訊系統是當今空間處理之利器也是未來空間資訊發展之重要趨勢。課程內容架構在地圖學座標投影及編繪概念上，介紹地理資訊系統之發展歷史，及特有的空間資料結構、檔案管理等。實作上則整合地理學上地形變遷、運輸便捷性、場址設置等相關議題，進行空間分析，進而制訂決策印證理論。同時邀請業界人士演講，使理論與應用互相結合。

課程概述
在資訊時代，地理資訊系統的加入恰可讓空間資訊的表達更為完整。本課程除介紹地理資訊系統基本概念外，基本上以實作為主軸。透過至少三個議題練習定位、數化、分析及屬性建置的基礎技能。繼而結合各網路服務平台所提供的資料，更進一步學習各種座標、資料的轉換，讓學生的實作能力與市場需求更為貼近。
In the information age, geographic information systems play a key role to make spatial information more complete. Besides introducing basic concepts of geographic information system, this course focuses on practicing. Training the basic skills of positioning, digitization, analysis, and attribute table building through at least three issues. Then combine the information provided by each network service platform to train the more advanced skills such as coordinates or data conversion, to promote students' spatial ability and fit market demand.

GIS概論、GIS發展歷史、座標定位、數化、疊圖分析、路徑分析、緩衝區分析等。
