教學目標內涵
地景欣賞，讀景，這一門學期課程是初級的、跨領域的，旨在培訓學員描述、分析、統合理解地景的能力，對地景研究和地景主題的有一個初步、整體的認識。

課程概述
課程透過地景研究和地景主題的介紹，配合室內、戶外交錯安排課程，引導學員初步、整體掌握地景的內涵。在地景研究方面，本課程介紹1)地景的光影、2)地景的聲音、3)地景的味道、4)地景的質感與體感、5)地景繪畫與攝影、6)地景建築、7)地景生態，以及8)地景的歷史；內容以Yi-Fu Tuan的Topophilia為引導。在地景主題方面，課程選取1)海洋與海島、2)冰川與荒漠、3)高山與高原、4)森林與草原、5)洞穴與峽谷、6)濕地與江湖、7)城鄉風貌、8)住屋形式與文化。八個地景研究和八個地景主題交錯安排，並安排兩次戶外課程，針對給定的地景主題，利用自選的地景研究觀點，進行觀察、描述，並且根據自己的觀察、描述成果，設計一份戶外地景教程。兩次戶外課程的A)地景描述報告，和B)戶外地景教程，就是本課程的學習評量主要依據。課程內容適合相關專業以外學生修習。
This course takes the framework being outlined in Topophilia (by Yi-Fu Tuan) to guide the students to understand the landscape through a series of mixture topics on landscape researches and on reading landscapes. The indoor seminars and outdoor activities are arranged to make the course suit for the new learners who does not have any background on any relevant professional training. The assessment is based upon the field reports with a design of environmental education.
授課內容
This course, reading landscape, is a general introduction to landscape. It starts with the discussion of processes in shaping the landscape, and is followed by the interdisciplinary discourses, including those in paintings, psychology, history, geography, land-use (management), conservation. The third part is a series of landscape types often found in Taiwan island. The relationships between landscape and its community and its representative in the literature are discussed in the final part.
「地景欣賞」或「讀景」這一門課是關於地景的入門課。它從形塑地景的各種作用開始討論，接著介紹各個跨域範疇的討論，包括繪畫、心理、歷史、地理、土地利用(管理)、保育。第三部分介紹台灣常見的地景類型。最後討論地景和社區的關係，以及地景和文學中的再現。
