能夠借助社地理學的觀點分析族群、性別、殘障、犯罪、貧窮等主要議題。

課程概述

本課程為地理學進階課程之一,由族群、性別、殘障、犯罪、貧窮等主要議題,介紹社會地理學在相關課題上的研究成果。透過對真實社會問題與議題的解析,依序介紹社會關係、社會認同及社會不公平等相關的理論與概念。
This is an introductory course for undergraduates first encountering social geography. Important issues such as ethnicity, gender, disability, crime and poverty to be discussed and demonstrated will include the cases of Taiwan.

授課內容

此課程主旨在於介紹社會地理學中核心的議題及相關討論,包括階級、休閒、社區、種族與族裔、性/別、世代、身心失能、地景、住宅、犯罪及貧窮。課程設計強調各式社會議題與空間過程的相互鑲嵌關係。除了理論的介紹,本課程也會論及相關的經驗研究。在教學方式上,希望能喚起學生的主體經驗,以創造學習與社會實踐的連結。修習本課程的學生,預期的學習成果有三:1.理解社會地理學的關鍵議題 2.理解如何從事與社會地理學相關的研究 3.將課堂知識轉化為社會實踐。
