課程概述
配合台灣重要植物各論正課，提供同學實際操作的經驗，內容包括野外採集、培育計畫報告、不同植物培育技術種子、扦插、嫁接與苗圃設施等。
Cooperating with the main monograph on important plants in Taiwan, it provides students with practical experience, including field collection, cultivation plan reports, seeds of different plant cultivation techniques, cuttings, grafting and nursery facilities, etc.
授課內容
課程綱要：
本課程設定為「木本植物分類學」的進階課程，旨在教授台灣重要植物的特性及其辨識方法。所謂「重要植物」，包含1. 生態保育；2. 經濟等兩個面相。在生態保育方面，將規劃介紹1. 台灣的森林優勢科；2. 台灣的紅皮書植物；3. 老樹等三大主題。在經濟方面，規劃介紹1. 原生景觀植物；2. 原生園藝植物；3. 具經濟潛力植物等三個主題。在授課方式方面，本課程搭配實習課程，正課主要由老師進行講解，實習課由同學操作，包括1. 植物採集；2. 植物培育；3. 分組上台報告。
This class 'Special topics on important plants of Taiwan" is designated to be an advanced class for the basic class "Dendrology". The properties and identification for important plants of Taiwan are going to be taught in the class. The term "important plants" means those plants which are important on ecology or economics issues. In topics of ecology, 1. dominant family of forests; 2. red list plants; and 3. old trees will be introduced. In topics of economics, 1. street trees; 2. horticultural plants; and 3. economically potential plants will be introduced. As to the teaching method, lectures and exercises are both planned. The exercises includes: 1. plant collecting; 2. plant breeding; and 3. reporting.
